Arnold Giger-Millwright, Blacksmith, Tinkerer

Arnold Giger, a skilled saw and mill builder, was born in 1843 in Quarten on Lake Walen. Around 1871 he moved to Schnaus.

In 1877 he built today's historic workshop, which uses a water wheel to drive all the machines that still work today.
